i'm just getting the itch for boarding now:-)
can't really get outta the lease at my apt here, and i'd have to convince the gf to go too (probably easier to do than waking up in the morning though.. she's a skier)

What is with the lowball salaries these days? everyone wants the complete package ...design, scripting, start to finish and oh yea here is a salary from 10 years ago? I just saw an AD position listed in pricey Bethesda, MD wanted 10+ years agency experience, offering "high 30's"....wtf!
- Mimio0
I'd take 45k/yr. for an AD position at Ogilvy & Mather / APG / Y&R or some place like that with varied clients.

$50 - $60/ hr freelancing... maybe I don't want salary jobs after all.
Health insurance would be nice though, probably should just cough up the dough for it.

ill apply as Senior Art director if you pay me 70k :)
- jevad0
yeah but Ogilvy can afford to pay more than 45K for an AD position!!

i have a "work is great" scenario in denver already. they'd have to pay at least 10k more for me to move, or offer part time telecommuting.
but i'll pass the word around for you ;)

i don't really know anyone who will work as an AD without being paid as such.
that sort of pay is quite junior.

i wouldn't mind it as long as the cost of living there is cheaper than ny
- Donvitoviti0
making 45k is prob like making 55k-60k in like SF or 65k in NY
- jevad0
cost of living here is WAY cheaper....

Apts here are cheaper than in NY, SF, or LA. I am paying $920 for a one bedroom in Lodo. 800 sq ft and I am the first tenant. It ain't exactly cheap, but not bad.
It's cheaper if you live farther from downtown. I can walk to the bars, the ski train, and the bike paths. I like it :-)
