No database experience but I'm a quick learner...
Is that the going rate in denver for this type of position. My wife is from colo. and the deal is we're moving there within the year sooner if things work out.

*I don't get out of bed for less than 60!
I hear that...
that salary isn't makin' me look forward to the transition. What with kids and home ownership in the future mix.

Salary is not the best but that is how it goes! Money here is tight but there are a lot of perks.
- half day fridays in the summer
- tickets to games
- good acces to concert tix
- jevad0
half day fridays in the summer is awesome
how much paid vacation a year do you get?
- jpea0
do it jevad!
(or at least convince me to move out there and take it)just curious anyway, are there any interactive firms out there closer to the mtns?
- Donvitoviti0
if money is tight.. then how come you have so many sites going for you.
If 1 person is going to do all those sites.. I would think in the 50s at the least
- -sputnik-0
would you allow partial telecommuting? i.e. tuesdays and thursdays or something like that?
- motionboy0
no telecommuting.
Our company has money but they are not forthcoming with it, put it that way.
We have quite a few more sites. All database drive and there are about 5 of us.
1 department head/programmer2 programmers .net
1 junior leve designer
and me the former art director

45k/yr for a Art Director?
Sounds about 10k too light.

how much are good apartments around there?
- jevad0
ha...nah I really like where I'm at right now...foothills of the flatirons..good company...awesome people...great perks.
jpea - at least submit your cv!
There are a few interactive agencies in the mountains and up here in boulder - but most of the bigger ones are still down Denver way.....
- motionboy0
Our company is funny like that. They think that just because you are around the sports world that it justifys less cash, and to some degree they are correct. BUT THE WORK IS GREAT.
I firmly believe that you can only have maybe two of the following three things at any time. (ala Sally Hogshead)
- Do Great Work
- Have Lots of free time
- Make Lots of Money

The responsibilities are those of an Interactive Art Director.
The pay and title is that of a Interactive Media Designer
- jevad0
all the more reason not to take it tbqh!
kld - it's been quiet here of late - definately not picking up the way NY and SF seem to be, but definately more active murmurings than say...6-8 months ago when it was dead as a doornail here...
- motionboy0
Not every job is perfect and that is really the only bad part. If you actually love design and sports its a great job and is awesome on the resume.
- kld0
Thx, I got my wife in a holding pattern here iin SF while I make some $$, Then in about a year we'll be Colorado bound. Hopefully there will be a renaisance by then.
