Few on that side of the pond seem to grasp the dynamics of politics in the Iberic Peninsula.
Spaniards as Portuguese were 95% opposed to the 'Iraqi freedoom' Democracy fuckfest. tour. The elections were just an excuse to get that prick out of the way. They sacked Aznar. We sacked Barroso.
The air is much cleaner now.

He he Americans are silly all they talk about is war. The silly folks that run the USA have been at war with someone since vietnam. Don't think for a minute that kerry is different from Bush in that respect. In my opinion anyone that becomes American president will continue the warring that has lasted for over 3 decades still though you can live in hope. That's about as likely as Kerry doing something really crazy and stupid i can't think of.
And the Spanish socialists were determined to pull the troops out LONG before the terroirst attacks. It had nothing, NOTHING to do with them. They were against the war on principal and as a refelction of the vast majority of their people.

unfit, I'm not saying that we're terrorism experts. I have a great deal of respect of those countries who have had terroristic actions happening in thier back yards.
but based on the news sources I've read/listend too, there has been a great deal of speculation upon the idea that the train bombing helped influence the course of that election. I've done my reading
none the less it'speculation...nothing more...but it's a possiblity that it can happen

America has a vested interest in many countries which is why there are so many US miliatary bases abroad...it's simply to ensure it's own safety and the safety of it's interests. this has gotten us in trouble and will continue to.
btw, I'm not a republican nor am I democrat. I agree with views on both sides of fence. technically, that makes me a moderate....but clinton was considered by many republicans to be a moderate as well....that's neither here nor there, though.

the sole purpose for our military to place bases in other countries is to ensure the safety of the US as well as the safety of our interests of those countries that 'host' our bases. it's strategic....it's why we have bases in europe and japan.

liquid, so you are saying that if kerry is president, we have more of a chance of being attacked in america. please qualify that, unless I misunderstood. the bush admin has not done anything to secure the cargo containers that come into ports on both coasts and kerry has a definite plan to do so... that is more for homeland security than they are currently doing. they arent even planning it. so how is doing nothing helping more?
