I do. Luckily they haven't opened an outpost here yet.
- MrDinky0

hi i'm auricom and i'm an IKEA addict. it all started 2 years ago when i moved to this hell whole and stopped at one on my way here.
as you may be able to tell by some of the pages here:
http://homepage.mac.com/bhimmler…
yeah, it may not be the best quality but where else can you get that style of furniture for that price. freakin Design Within Reach is way the fuck out of my reach. same damn lamps at ikea but 10x the price, literally.
- murmur0
Its the price. Next time i get a digital camera ill post some "evidence". My appartment just looks like a catalouge but with a different room. Strange.
Also fightclub reference intended. Lets start one.

- tara|gee0
speaking of ikea...
i need a way to hang up all my purses and i have an idea of hanging a bunch of mannequin arms on the wall to hold em all
or is that going to be liek cool idea but in real life super creepy
- murmur0
Both.
Super Creepy
but
Thats what will make it cool.
I recomend maby doing the nails black. Or french tips.
- auricom0
i can't man....i just can't. it so cheap (price wise) it's a good way to get inspiration as well. i'm slowly getting into more furniture design so the catalogs help. hell, since it's close, i just go up there to see how things are made and assembled.
my only suggestion is don't get any of the glassware, one ting and that shit shatters.
hey tara, how things be? i hope you got the commute situation resolved.
- MrDinky0
auri
best way to make the best out of your addiction is...
to go to "as is" section and make your own furniture with bits and pieces...
you get stuff cheap and you can call it hand made furniture
- tara|gee0
he does makes some of his own furnature "aurikea:" lol
yeha i fixed th eocmmute by QUITTING lol i hated tha job :P
- auricom0
damn skippy, that's my first stop actually. there's all kinds of great stuff in there. actually one of my first pieces was constructed from as is parts.
- MrDinky0
i love as is section..
find all kind of crap that you dont wanna pay full price for
- auricom0
haha, you quit? that's one way to fix it. i'm telling ya, freelance is the shizzy.
yeah, my first love is sculpture so of course i'm drawn to IKEA. i'm learning how to blow glass and fuse it next month to start on some lamps, should be interesting, as long as i don't burn my face off.
- lvl_130
ikea! ikea you say? damn you ikea!! since you came along i have been there 6 times. since you have come along, i have suffered through your 'cinnamon toast crunch' smellin' lobby. i have suffered through your 'let me stop at every ikea room setup and check out the price for each, and every, individual price for every piece of furniture.....on and on and on...not to mention i am next to the largest mall in america!! wow, i really need to move.
- MrDinky0
auri, glass blowing.. nice
i always wanted to try that but i dont know where to go..
good luck with it..
show pics when you make something
