we had this one before....thats a dolphin - the dorsal fin is curved...bottleneck I believe...

If you spent enough time surfing Maui, you'd get to see some Tiger Sharks that close. You'd also get to see some beautiful dophins and hawaiian green sea turtles (farvorite tiger shark snack).

that's an awesome picture.
I remember being out just after sunset and seeing a sea turtle come to the surface. It still freaked me out. I didn't realize it was a sea turtle 'till i got back to the shore.

your chances of being attacked by a shark are about 15 times less than your chance of being struck by lightning. you're more likely to be killed by a pig than a shark.

i've seen all sorts of fish and turtles in waves.
only time i've been scared by a shark was 90 feet down...cause there's really no place to run if he decides he wants a sputnik-snack.

however, a surfer was mauled and killed by two sharks last month in australia
