People, people. You gotta vote your conscience! How do you think Clinton beat Bush I? Look at Perot's votes that year (1992). Perot got 19million+ votes! It positively threw the election to Clinton, who won withotut winning 50%. He only got 43ish %. Third party votes are not a waste! We just have to have the balls to cast them.

how about this....would you say that sending troops to Afghanistan was a bad call? was that our right?
I ask because I keep hearing people say that we should have stayed there and not worried about Saddam.

perot and nader are apples and oranges shotgun.
perot took votes away from bush sr.

I love these threads...
This is a genuine question for froww and those who believe like he does:
I understand that Bush is likely swaying your vote based on certain "moral" issues, but at what cost?
You claim that you want to like your like in a Christ-like manner... Look at what Bush has DONE, not what he has said. Weigh the thousands of dead in Iraq against a few hollow claims about his "beliefs"...
Look at Bush's blindness to the poor in this country and his coddling of the richest elite... Is he buying your vote with a few code phrases, easily spoken?
Compare that to people like Kerry or Nader (who's gone nuts, btw) who have devoted most of their lives to service to their fellow citizens...

...not to mention that he uses religion to push his political agenda. He's even pissed the Southern Baptists off with that crap.
Do you really believe he stands on a moral highground froww?
- froww0
Dr_Jay, I agree about some of the issues you've mentioned. Again, it's the lesser of the two evils in this election. I believe the stance Bush takes on the issues I mentioned are crucial to keeping America's character in the years to come.

Froww, abortion has been legal for a long time, country's still in working order.
- froww0
monkey, I'm not a Southern Baptist and I do not believe Bush represents Christians in America. Neither do I agree with him on all his policies.
The core problem with some people here is their need to compartmentalize people into certain groups. I am not what you think I am. Some of my views concerning the environment and alternative fuels, for instance, would be considered to be in the liberal camp.

Frow...how did you react to the whole Clinton/Lewinski thing? Do you feel that it effected america's character?
- froww0
dobolina, it all depends on your view of "a long time". In the life of our country it has not been legal very long. And partial-birth certainly has not. Let's see how it contributes to the decline of character and morality in our country.

froww, I just feel like you and people who are voting for bush based on religious reasons are being totally manipulated. He's absolutely used the religion card to distract believing Christians that he holds their interests. He's the biggest hypocrit.

there is no commandment about sending thousands to die at war over false pretenses, I guess.

Froww, i still think people like you should be the first ones in line to run Bush out of office... He is buying your vote with hollow promises & code phrases, while delivering you nothing but the blood of innocent iraqi children... are they any less important that your precious fetuses?
It seems the Republicans only value the first 9 months... after that... keep 'em undereducated, scared, blown up, shot, jailed, electrocuted, and poisened by a more toxic environment...
take a step back... look at the bigger picture.

oh..is froww spouting religios bullshit again? what a surprise...record's broken dude - or maybe it's just the ability to think for youself that's broken....
