those who say think about the child or "the child doesn't have a voice" consider this...
Will you raise the child? NO, if someone would if given the choice would abort a child, then they do not want a child, if forced to have the child what kind of life would that child have if it is not wanted?
So adoption...If the person carrying the child doesn't want it, what motivation do they have to make sure they get the proper prenatal care to have a healthy baby...
it is a gamble. I personally would not choose an abortion (I am male), but if it keeps a child from coming into the world in an unwanted situation, I understand it and would rather that than the alternative...
When you are not going to be raising the child it is easy to take a side, but remember that the child will have to live in a certain situation for 18 years...

that is not true... there are alot of unwanted children in state funded housing...group homes
and what about the prenatal comment I made... what if the mother who puts their child up for abortion smokes, drinks, or worse during the pregnancy?

froww... Evolution doesnt contravene the 2nd law of thermodynamics or any other of the laws that you quote/misrepresent, evolutionary processes arent just chance, etc.

Ribit - we should probably agree to disagree there. I can see that particular issue going nowhere fast and very little light being generated.
Speedyd - Not sure I understand your point. Because a mother doesn't take care of herself and abuses substances, the child should be killed? Hmmm. There are countless examples of kids born to substance abusing mothers that are perfectly fine and the ones that are not are frequently rehabilitated. Life is life. It should be treated with dignity and respect.

Do you have experience with childern with problems related to birth defects... what kind of life is that?
Don't get me wrong, I am personally against abortion, but I do not believe forcing someone to have a child they do not want it a solution...

haven't read all the posts yet but the selected ones i have don't suprise - there are those who can think for themselves here and those who need to be told what to believe.
