Why am I not surprised you're in on this, Jonathan? Being in Kent for so long, though, you have to agree that LeBron totally did not travel either of those times. Loyalties, Man! However, I'm totally happy they're going to lose because they are playing like shit and that Vicelli guy (or whatever) is on tilt!

yeah, i agree, nor did Dwayne Wade travel, but none the less, they totally got outplayed by my other favorite country.

It's definitely a case of being lazy rich asses as well. It's like playing Brazil in soccer, everyone comes gunning for you. A combination of things. I still wouldn't rule them out of winning the Olympics. But there are teams that can beat them, especially China, Canada and Brazil.

they need to send college kids.
seems like only NBA players with lower end salaries go anyway. most of the high profile players dont want to risk injury from an angry czech's elbow to the grill or what have you/

Team USA Basketball is terrible. They have no concept of a team oriented game where all other teams play it. What a joke. Yeah, I know the big boyz didn't come out to play this year, but still. And why didn't they bring a shooter, even Reggie Miller would have been fine, no one on that team can hit a 3 consistently. They have a bunch of slashers and Duncan, that's it. OK, if Shaq Diesel were there then he would force their lazy asses to play a team game.

i think they should've sent the detroit pistons to represent USA. other countries have been playing together for years. The players that are together barely had time to play together. larry brown admitted that his team can't play at the level the rest of the teams in the olympics play.
The Pistons are a team. the way the NBA plays, there are very few NBA teams that play like a team. NBA is all one on one basketball.
The momentum from winning the NBA Finals should just carry over to the Olympic games.
