Thanks Peter. It's definitely on the list... just seems a little far! (or maybe it shouldn't now that I'm on the west coast)

Living?
It can be very expensive. Heard it is suppose to be the most expensive place in the world. But of course there's way to coop with it.Coming on a vacation wouldn't be that expensive if you don't stay at the most fancy hotels. For transportation you can by a railpass before you come. That way you can ride all over japan for about 200 dollars. Food, eating out doesn't cost that much more then cooking yourself, oddly enough. What else...hmmm...come and find out :)

That would be nice. Perhaps there'll be a flash conference or something that could get a whole bunch of folks coming.

very cool.
airfare isnt that much either, round trip from SF costs like $600 USD (including tax)
must think about it :)
ive never been to Asia, hmmmm.... there are just so many places i haven't been! and i wonder when the next time i'll actually take a vacation will be.
good to know though.
how is the job market like over there? is it very different than north america? or europe? in terms of what type of work is being done, and opportunities, and stuff like that...
