in europe it's a relative good way to make a living although the competition has gotten bigger. more and more shops pop up everywhere, mainly scratchers, but the advantage is that almost everything is paid in cash and not all of it ends up in the books ;)

I like your art, and I am not saying your bad, but I think to be a tattoo artist you need to be extremely detailed no?
- -leah-0
yah jazX i was kind of worried that i dont do detailed enough work, but i also have faith in myself that i could do super detailed work. i am very talented dont you know? ;P

I'm not too crazy about them, minus the bird paintings (which I like how you executed very much), but that's just my tastes. Maybe you should show some hand drawings so that we may better assess the question, though.

well I don't think no tattoo artist get in the bussiness as they are well refined to be a tattoo artist. and since I know leah always complaining about her work and moaning I am not doin what I do like stuff, I think these images are well worth to try to be a tattoo artist.
go get those boys leah!

i think you should design some tattoos for people and then practice using the needle with some small, simple tattoos at your boyfriend's stepmom's cousin's shop.
but don't forget to add branding to your skillset

omg ozhanlion, do i really complain that much here? you guys sound like you really hate me! not that i care, cause you all arent real, your just text on my computer screen! :)

"...and then practice using the needle with some small, simple tattoos at your boyfriend's stepmom's cousin's shop."
i seriously think that that's not gonna happen unless it's on yourself or a pig especially if it's a shop with a good rep. you have to really apprentice and after a while if the tattoo artist feels comfortable about it and you've gathered enough knowledge you can maybe do a small simple one.

you're obviously a very creative person
sit down and practice doing actual tattoos- you're paintings are a completely different stylemaybe it's just a case of starting to think more like a tattoo artist rather than a painter

i am ready for a long unpaid apretnticeship if need be, i know i will have to practice on pig skin (ew) but i am willing to do it.
