Could a swf behave differently between a local version and a server version in terms of functionality?
Serious replies only please. I'm in a bind!

what are you trying to do?
- sauerbraten0
depends, but mostly in the realm of preloading.. all other things (assuming you have identicle file directories on both local and server locales) should work the same.

and if other movies are loading into the main movie you have to watch out for _parent, _root, etc. on your call to actions.

I'm loading external FLV's from .swfs. The main movie hangs indefinitely instead of loading the first FLV upon request.

is everything in the same root directory on the server?

is your HTML in the same directory as the root SWF?
- Geith0
yes, same as root with FLV files coming from a Media subdirectory.

also be sure to watch case-sensitivity - you might be on a UNIX server remotely
