hmmm dunno how it got there...why don't you liberals start a 'program' teach some innercity kids how to sniff for oil so you can find out. Good idea?
- Donvitoviti0
that lesser of the two evils view is just plain wrong
- zedvox0
i think alaska should be mined.hehe
- iDp0
Zed I'm not pro Bush at all either, but I'm def not pro lib either.
I was just joking with you for calling Bush cute.
- zedvox0
i agree with you on one thing iDp far left liberals annoy the fuck out of me.
i live in Eugene, Or
omg they make me wanna shoot myself.
but the current trend of the politics in this country scares me....the paranoia, the policies not only foreign but domestic (patriot act, abortion, gay rights)
its scary.
- -leah-0
are you against abortion and gay rights zedvox?
- ronaldo0
One nation under surveillance.
- iDp0
abortion and gay rights issues have been present for a long long time. I don't understand Bush's hard stance on gay rights, its a little scary if you ask me. The Patriot Act or the same BS under a different name was going to happen sooner or later.
- zedvox0
err sorry that sounded confusing
i meant that even though far left libs annoy me
the current govt and its policies scare mei am pro gay rights and pro choice.
- iDp0
Ronaldo .... ???? Like WTF mate?
- zedvox0
i dunno about that iDp
when i moved here in 99 things were a far more relaxed....
patriot act is a total fuckup and i can't believe people do not oppose it as vocally as they should.
- toe-knee0
pro guns & war,
anti-gay marriage. Its funny when you look at it.

It's not the lesser of 2 evils... It's good vs. evil.
I'm not saying Kerry is the best we can do, but we've got to push in the right direction... and for God's sake Bush is a dangerous pawn...
The reason he's dangerous is that he IS a pawn. Why do you think the republican party includes people like Dan Quayle & George W Bush & Ahhhhnold?
For fucks sake... is government not here to HELP citizens who need it?
- jpea0
i'm just amazed sometimes thought that people really vote on basic issues that won't affect actual policies that a president would put into effect. case in point, my old roommate would vote repub. always because he'd never want anyone to take his gun from underneath his pillow. thing is, no one's trying to change that about his lifestyle. they ARE trying to change things like how he's taxed, what programs he needs are being supported, etc... no one's gonna touch issues that people stupidly vote on (abortion, guns, gay marriage, etc...)
so campaigns come down to these non-changing issues and mudslinging, neither of which get us anywhere productive.
just my 2 cents

"jeeves, can you please go find me my priorties."
"very well , sir"

the two party system is essentially a broken democracy the founding fathers wanted it, and planned it to have someone in everyones corner.
who is represented in America now? The Right and the not so right. It's not err right...

thats the one thing i love about nader. everyone is bitching that he is a vote for bush. and he is like, hey dummies! its another choice. i hope soon indies will be contenders
- Dr_Jay0
I used to like Nader a lot... I saw him speak, he was brilliant... but that was a few years ago. In fact I voted for him.
I think he may be a bit nuts now... He seems more and more egomaniacal every speach I hear... seriously. He's losing sight of the big picture.
- BonSeff0
im not saying nader is the way, i just appreciate his logic of choice. donkeys and elephants cant be the end all. i hope more future indies can make an impact. i think nader is making that statement
