so can you stream video in flash via .swv using only actionscript 1.0 or do you have to export your movie as actionscript 2.0?
i have searched for it but came up empty. anyone point me in the right direction? thanks

you can do either, AS 1.0 supported it I believe. Again, don't mean to beat a dead horse lvl_13, but the resource thread has some nice info on this. dB

agreed : )
it just seems as if i can't come up with the right search words to get anything to come up.
that would be really nice though if AS 1.0 supported it.

does it have to be .swv or can it be .flv: http://www.techsmith.com/product…

not sure. i think we are using this:
http://www.vitalstream.com/macro…we are streaming it off another hosts site.

I don't understand? Can't you just create your video, edit it and make it a .flv and then put it inside an application to play it and host it yourself with a preloader?

yeah, if only it were that easy. the company i work for is huge and they feel the need to outsource almost everything : )
