hey froww, If your down with the rapture, which is totally fine by me, do you believe that stuff like how occording to Revelations the Whore of Babylon lays on seven mountains and how the EU treaty was signed in Rome which has seven hills and how Romano Prodi or the UN are in fact the anti-christ and all that kind of jazz?

lowimpakt, I tend to avoid embracing literal interpretations of the book of Revelation. The books of the Bible are comprised of different types of literary styles. The book of Revelation used an Apocolyptic style and is to be read and interpereted in light of the more direct passages regarding end-time events (see the books of I & II Thessalonians and I & II Peter). That being said, I do believe it is part of the God-inspired and infallible canon of scripture. I just don't think it was intended to be applied to the papacy, etc... It's tough because there are portions to be taken literally such as references to the 12 Tribes of Israel, but it also uses a lot of anthropomorphic language.

this is the same terror alert that went off in moral, ethical and logical peoples heads when "Born Again" Baby Bush formed the Revelations Cabinet and started towards the Door of No Return. He won't succeed, but this will look pretty scary historically, a president who sided with those who seek to bring on the Mattel Apocalypse Redux.
