Newsflash: the new Interpol album was advanced via slsk. Got a copy and was really dissapointed. What happened to these guys?

Turn On The Bright Lights was one of my favourite albums when I got it last year, some really cool sounds on there...
Not got the new one your talkin about and I dont think I will now :-(

Awwwww man. I been waiting too long... just to hear it sucks... guess what, that sucks. So, in review, it sucks to know that the new album by your favorite band sucks.... hmmm, and guess what else sucks... it sucks to work with senior art directors that think they know what the client likes.... but its like, hey i talked to them too Bozo. Yeah it's a shame.. The last album was incredible. I'm only hoping that the advance copy is some sort of crazy "Antic" and that the real album will be released in September. After all they're re-using old material, which happen to be the only good songs.
I think they're just trying to be more accessible.

well the tracks i'm listening to right now sounds alot less tragic than their previous brilliant album, and maybe more accessible now. it sounds almost generic sometimes.
its like they got over their joy division infatuation. NOT a good sign..

I have to say I never thought they were innovative at all. I like their stuff, but would rather listen to some early Cure. It's like listening to the Beatles instead of Oasis.
If you'd like to hear some nice retro-80s alt stuff, try The Faint. They're much better than Interpol.

and listening to itI'm pretty damn sure this is either FM-sourced, a shitty ass rip, or taken from an unfinished recording.
The production on it is TERRIBLE.

Interpol is one of my favourite bands. Seen them live last year and they were ace! but i'm truely gutted to hear that the new album's shite even though I haven't heard it yet :-/
