I figure there is different kinds of stress.
If it is stress from meeting a tight deadline I try to focus on my work and work only. Work as hard and smart as I can, and if I did this but still didn't meet the deadline at least can rest assure that it couldn't have been done in the first place. This so I won't beat myself up about missing a deadline, but also so that I won't stress too hard. Too much stress halts the productivness of course, but a little of it is probably a great boost.
If it is stress, or just anger, about coworkers or anything uncalled for, then might I suggest going to a close by boxing gym and have a round with a sandbag. Exercise is great for work, and also the stress will likely just drop off with every punch you throw at that bag.
...If you were to ask me.

haven't learned to deal with it yet. usually it just ends up being a 'fu*k it" attitude and head out for a beer:-)
take my current project for instance, i went to my job job at 9 this morning, came home at 6, will work on this freelance job till 2, then do it all over again the next day (and it's been like this every day for 6 days). should be done tomorrow though... right in time for the weekend:-)
(that reminds me how much i hate it when people think flash dev is just laying things out in a WYSIWYG editor. bah!)

Stress is good.
I was buggin out all day over some programming deadline. I just finished it and I feel a great sense of relief and satisfaction.

I am buying a new mountain bike and *hoping* it gets me out the damn door and away from this machine!!
Exercise is the best - you feel like you are getting two things done at once, and you are.

i wish I knew.
Sometimes I do wish that I had a job that I didn't have my heart in.... Then I could be happy like everyone else.

i've been known to have shingles and anxiety attacks as my method of dealing with stress. Yoga helped for awhile, then just making sure i release the energy in some way helped. top it off with a beer or 3.
