yeah a lot of people i know thought the same. they felt it moved too slow and there was virtually no character development. but i liked it

There was the shower scene, but I think at the table while they were eating breakfast there was some implied homosexuality.

zzzzzz ... how boring is this movie! best director! ah ah ah ah! the man doesn't even know how to set the depth of field on his camera ... it's like experiencing myopia for 2 hours!

i saw the movie. i wonder if Gus Van Sant even went to high school or just read about the different cliques that exist and made sure that every stereotype was present.
i'm indifferent on this movie. it was totally unrealistic i think in terms of representing a real high school, it must have been a class of about 14 people. the shots were too long and cliche, but i did like the structure. not one of the characters was developed enough for me to give a shit about anyone, and i didn't like the way he sort of blamed video games for the thing.
Van Sant is trying too hard i think. it's probably supposed to come out as an 'artistic' movie but in my opinion it was a little too shallow.

Think it was an important movie to make, but perhaps it didnt come out so good in the end. Thats all first time actors/amatuers in the movie though, improvising alot apparently, wich does give it a kinda erie feel too it.

i dont know.. it all just looks so manufactured..
i mean come on.. "gus vant sant" he already sounds liek a brand of clothes these kids will put on ..even the colours look like the comercials. kids will probly watch this and not even have it impact them..this movei could be ther "intellectual movie" they watched while teens. justifying thier mindless consumerism.
did i go to far with all this. ?
