Who has seen this? I loved the way the camera was always moving, but the movie disappointed in that the back of the Blockbuster box warned of "strong profanity, sexuality, and drug use...all involving teenagers."
I didn't see any of that.

anyone else get really really annoyed that no one would say ANYTHING while the shooting was happening...or in a lot of the scenes of the movie? i thought teenagers are chatter boxes, i was pissed that not one kid while running down the hall said "GET THE FUCK OUT MAN?!" "SAVE YOU LIFE" anything?!?

Great movie. based on the rythm and moving plans of an english movie called elephant, but a diferent script that relies on the Columbine high-school massacre.
Gus Van Sant is one of my fav directors

This is in no way a literal re-enactment of Columbine. It's really funy to me that you would get chuffed at Gus Van Sant suggesting that the murderous teens were homosexual. Besides, many young men experiment sexually with one another without turning out homosexual. It's a natural occurrence.

under cannes film festival rules, a movie cannot win both best film and best director, the rule was broken for one year > 2003 for elephant

i have a question, w/o ruining the movie i will say in one part they are in a meat locker and there are slabs of meat hanging? This is a highschool, right? They have slabs of meat? Does this symbolize something? I'm confused?
