Just one point. Not all sites out their are aimed at consumers. Some are aimed at businesses [or local authorities] like this one, that spend Millions a year on bins.
the colour options are because the authorities distinquish their bins from one another by colour. Not rocket science

Surely people interested in buying bins know what they look like and they don't need a site to help them visualise a blue or green one...

no save, people know what clothes look like as well and they still want to see them in different colors on a site. whats the difference?

not all suppliers offer the same colours/features etc and bins from different manufacturers all have different shapes.

yeah exactly, what if they have a corporate colour scheme or a just really camp and need to match their bin to their marigolds.

tue grayhood. From my experience people often have a huge problem visualising colours on products.
on cars for example if you see it in a colour you dont like it puts you off. But if you can see it and have it in a colour you like your more likely to buy it.
