I had problems with decreasing battery life on my old PB G3... another goodo reason to buy AppleCare... they guarantee a certain battery life for 3 years, and replace...

no problem here. If you always plug the power adapter in when you have the chance, your battery will live forever...

yeah i wish my one year old 12" powerbook's battery held a charge for longer than an hour..it never went much over two even when it was brand new.

My last experience with a powerbook was the company issued G4 667mhz. Battery lasted (im not shitting you) 6minutes watching a DVD. And it died when I upgraded to 0SX. Good times.. good times..

i just bought a PB 1.5. My battery is good for about 2-2 1/2 hours max. About the average from what i know.
I thought i read somewhere that if you constantly recharge the battery it shortens the life. Instead it's better to charge it all the way, then run it down and repeat. is this right?

it does not matter.
these are modern lithium ion batteries.
