Being honest, i don't like it.
It's a nicely rendered compilation of familiar elements and stylings that, once you take them away doesn't leave you with much in terms of a concept. Perhaps i'm missing something but it's 'nice' and 'cool' for five minutes and that's about it.
As a central element, the telegraph pole is really..quite boring to look at.

yup.

What colours do you suggest he asks? thanks

"What colours do you suggest he asks? thanks "
Tell him to get his head to the nearest bookshop and find any book on 'posters' and use his eyeballs.

bluejam:
i was just thinking the same about the telegraph pole.all the lines flow into the pole defining that as the focal point, but the flowers at the edges are more interesting which creates a jarring effect on the eye. maybe if the flowers were wrapped around the pole and taken away from the edges, it might work better compositionally. or you could mute the colours of the edge flowers a bit and have the red flowers going around the pole.
hope that's useful!

a nice example of well composed cool clip art - what does it all mean?

My Dad had some old curtins that looked like that, plus a tash and a kevin keegan hair cut....
all of which are wrong!

Nice detail, but what is it saying.
It it just a nice design.

Isn't the idea of a poster to communicate an idea or message from distance as quickly as it takes someone to walk past it in, lets say the street, if so I don't see what it means, you say there is text on it where?, if it is in the micro details, then surely thats too small to be read from 20 feet?
