working in a positive environment, doing work you enjoy, has a positive effect on the time you're with your family, as well as the obvious things like making it a hell of a lot easier to get up in the morning.
work from the inside out... if you're concerned that it will create friction at home (ie: coming home pissed), be that much more cautious.
being surrounded by good people all day is a benefit that can be hard to find, and tough to put a price tag on.
