If you ask me Apple marketing need a kick-up the ass.
There is making money, and then there is taken the piss.

whats all this g5 powerbook talk? we're going to have to wait for AGES - the chip is soo damn hot, when you run system diag and the fans dont run the chips burn out and die. when serverchip technology is much improved we'll see g5 powerbooks - but dont hold your breath guys and ladies. oh the keynote is coming!!

I find it HILARIOUS that the majority of you liberal whiny little bitches complain about 'big corporations' and dudes with 'too much money in their pockets'...
... and yet you purchase from Apple and hold Apple in such high regard...
... even though Apple's technology is well overpriced and can't compete w/PC technology (because they're too DAMNED GREEDY to allow third party integration).
Hypocrites. (not all of you... but you know who you are).

actually as cool as the g5s are, i'll prolly be getting the 15" PB next month. The AirPort Express has really whet my appetite.
ps was only joking above =)

Even commies used good tools. Apple machines are competitive price point to price point. They resale better too.

yeah mr.bizzyman
Apple is an evil corp. like the rest cpu manufacturers. BUT, they have innovations and design beyond any of them, Their i.d. is great. AND, they are not really overpriced at all. They are more stable and always have been within a couple hundred of pc's.
Its worth it to me.

"Even commies use good tools"
ta!
Macs are superior youll buy Apples products when they move osx to PC.
- Mimio0
They're NEVER porting OSX to x86.
- illdesign0
You never know! They would make a killing, all those dells in production going OSX? YES.

"(because they're too DAMNED GREEDY to allow third party integration)."
not necesssarily. your hysterics and strawman baiting aside, a closed proprietary system means things more likely will work the way they're supposed to, because third parties are not reliable and will work below standards of quality. it's a design decision, not a monetary decision.

I thought I'd get someone w/the 'greedy' comment.
That was tounge and cheak on my part. I don't believe it's bad to act in a proprietary way w/something you invent. I respect Apple for the way they've made it so they're in control of everything that goes into their machines.
My comments were more political in nature. I just find it to be humorous that many folks on here trip out on big business and conservatism - but back a company like Apple - even though they take advantage of their supporters by overpricing their equipment.

fcuk politics, a tool is a tool.
