it all depends on how much you want to spend per day-per night per meal per taxi ride per pack of smokes...nothing cheap in nyc!!!!

alright... something under $100 per night... maybe $150 if it's worth it. And I'm from DC, which isn't much cheaper that NYC.
But every city has it's finds.

Hey -
If you want to save a bit of money and bother, try staying in Hoboken. It's cheaper, one stop to Soho on the PATH train and has great bars and restaurants.
