  I was asking about the wrong question before.

  I am using loadMovie() to load a .swf with Quicktime embedded in it. The file is 1.6 mBytes. There's a preloader on it that will work if I substitute a smaller quicktime movie on the succeeding frame. Therefore, it can't be my action script.

  Why would a preloader fail, based on file size of an embedded quicktime movie?
