I just heard that sound object and preloaders are not very friendly if the file size is large.
Even if there is a preloader on a timeline, Flash will load an attached sound before anything, including the preloader scripts.
Anyone have a workaround or some easy way of dealing with this? I have a 1.6 mByte movie I need to load into another movie.

Use the normal attachMovie procedure in the main movie.
Then make a small make a preloader movie loading the main movie into it [Stage].
remember, you'll have to use "this" in the main movie for the sound object or it will not work.
mySound = new Sound(this);

Unfit, I can't believe I'm not paying you.
I've been perma-lancing for an agency that does Samsung interactive. I'm doing Flash everyday and it's like boot camp. I'm constantly working, but learning a ton. I just hope they keep me.

What are the limitations on use of flv if you are publishing for MX, not MX 2004?
