How about a film that has an asteroid or some such thing land on north america completely obliterating it at the beginning. I KNOW that would be the biggest grossing film of all time.

yesterday i saw the movie, i like the effects and something fun happen, a lot of people applaud when americans cross to mexico like illegal, i saw the movie in mexico :), and i think a lot of people in the south of the earth will smile and aplaud with this movie.

yep for once Americans don't save the world and have to admit that they are wasting this planet(which is true even though the movie is crap) ... then flee to third world countries!

Unfortunately, it wasn't filmed in 70mm IMAX, so it was just 35mm stretched to fit the width of the IMAX screen where I saw it.
Kinda disappointing...

enjoyed the effects, story wasn't horribly bad either. but, who can really say they went to see this movie for the "story" anyway?
from what i remember about the opening credits, and hopefully someone else can chime in, but i swear i've seen another credits sequence almost *exactly* like the one in day after tomorrow.
running above the water, the credits perspectived to be on top of the water, flying above the ocean... except i think some of the credits in the other film might have been a few feet under water.
anyway i just remember seeing them in day after tomorrow and thinking "wow, they so completely stole that idea..."

Saw this last night, all late night like. The effects were pretty nice, cept for the wolves of course, that coulda been done differently imo. Story was what I expected. The ending was weakish, yet they did it well enough to be stunning. It was nice seeing the states engulfed in ice. But eh, once that sun came out.... wouldn't there be mass flooding all over? Sounds like the worst might actually have been ahead of them.

Mejia, tiguere, When I go to the movies if I go I enjoy them, but, some people here spoil their moment off the monitor to then focus on the details of a movie, it's kind of ridiculous, yeah, I think in paralelo, but with a good chic on my side :)
