Didja ever stop to think that the reason they might be casting such broad, sweeping terror threat news so close to a US holiday, might just be part of US Dept. of homeland security protocol to help avert the killing of any more of my friends?
Seriously, how would YOU go about warning a nation of an imminent attack when: 1) there is a clear and present danger and 2) divulging specifics will work against your own protective agencies (CIA, FBI, etc.)?
