Bozilla, you'll find it is called argumentum ad hominem. The 'right', especially in the states are experts at at it. It plays a big part in the right-wing media and even in presidential campaigns. It downgrades the debate to a play-schoolesque shit-fest.
(yes, I just said shit-fest, so what)

M. Moore has no agenda withouth Bush. Think about it? He needs him to make fun of. :)

Bozilla: You have grossly mis-spoken, but that OK, I won't hold it against you. I could care less about the money issue as well. If Moore becomes a millianre off his movies, that's great, it's capitalism. I contributed to that in watching bowling. And it did have some good points, but most of his views are skewed in his "beliefs" favor. I have no problem with his new movies release, however it is very coincedentally timed. I will also watch this movie, but if it's anything like Bowling, I'm sure a lot of it will be one-sided with little research. He likes to get his opinion across, but he fails to paint a broad picture in doing so and the end result is a narrow view piont.
PS: The WHOLE world does not agree with him whilst the USA alone does not. That's the most ignorant and childish thing I've heard all day.

do people still use the word diss? :P
- lowimpakt0
i don't think he comes across like he wants to be a serious documentary maker. He sees stuff the way he sees it and he goes and makes movies about. big friggin deal. Rather than getting uptight like a bunch of grannies why not counter his view with your view your proof your opinions. And I don't mean call him a fat prick or bitch about how much money is making or that his approach is wrong. I mean provide your proof that what he is saying is wrong. I can can help you if you like. I love hanging out with conservatives....

I think lowimpakt has a good view point as far as Moore making his movie. I don't care how much money he makes, and I don't think it should be censored. I just think he uses an obvious slant, there's nothing wrong with that, everyone does. I just think it's important to weigh his intintions against the "facts" he provides.

ummmmm, bes? short for besmirched... that cud be the new dis! :)
One more thing....... Has anyone of you actually seen THIS film? Whatever happened to judgin things on their own merit? I dont even get what all this Bowlin for Columbine hatred is - but i'll admit, it did get really stupid in very discrete places (it was mainly about the Columbine shootings tho weren't it?). Wait till u see the film before y'all go around bitchin what a "liar" he is.

if moore manages to get up peoples noses i wonder what they make of this guy.........

the funny thing is that in our side of the pond he would be considered a moderate.

Everybody's whole problem is the fact that this wasn't sensored.. the majority of the population would not be interested in seeing this piece of shit in the movie theaters so disney doesn't want to lose money on it.. that is all.. there's no censorship involved, and bush had nothing to do with it
- unfittoprint0
[jeb] bush had something to do with it.

fact check (reason for Disney not wanting to be distributor):
"One unnamed Disney executive told the paper it did not want to be seen taking sides in the forthcoming U.S. election and risk alienating customers of different political views."
"We just chose not to be involved," Walt Disney CEO Michael Eisner said.
- skleven0
regardless, my point is that it shouldn't be considered censorship just because a company doesn't want to get involved.
- ribit0
It's not censorship... but it may be undue pressure (or uptightness?)

"Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the peacemakers for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in any country."

If the theory of war in Iraq increasing terrorism is proven to be true, then I think you should have a #4.
There most likely are terrorist making plans of attack so watch your ass because the US isn't pulling out of Iraq anytime soon and the situation there isn't looking any better.
