Miko Moore has done it again, can´t wait 2 see Farenheit 9/11. Sad that it´s censored in "the land of the free". I guess Bush thinks people are as stupid as him..still can´t censor the rest of the world..
- swollenelbow0
wow...that' horrible...i love moore's stuff...i'm sure it will turn up somewhere around here...
got links?
- Bozilla0
Imagine how horrible would it be that if we needed to order the movie from Europe or whatever to watch it on our DVDs here in USA.
This administration NEEDS TO GO. Bush is more and more starting to look like those fanatic religious dictators like Saddam, Laddens or whatever, including all the censorship and fear that's injected into the hearts of people. ("They are gonna attack US any second now..BE PREPARED)..hahah...just so pathetic but also very effective if you wanna scare people constantly.
They all need to hang if you ask me, a bunch of criminals.
Michael Moore, heads up, I'll see your movie even if I have to order it from Europe.

good Lord.
even Moore hiimself admits that his films are not documentaries. they're highly-persuasive opinions. he's not interested in presenting both sides of a story. of course people are not going to want to promote his shit! we've covered this already in several threads (which were subsequently deleted). let the controversy die; it was manufactured.

Wait 4 the miracle of a distributor for the film with guts 2 do it or download the screener of Cannes in DIVX with E-Mule. Spread the word!
- Mimio0
There are distributors lining up to show it in the US.
- e-wo0
spread the ubsubstantiated conspiracy theory! wheeee!
- ameri840
E-wo, I don´t need Moore 2 convince that Bush is a creep, all have 2 do is turn the news.
- e-wo0
I'm glad to know that you do your own personal, thorough research on the important issues.

I think Moore should something similar with Ariel Sharon, the closes thing 2 Hitler after Bush, and all the saddams and Ladens.

most documentaries tell a particular story from a particular angle ina particular way.
I would like to see the right wing version of Moore to stand up and make a documentary showing his/her version of events.
I don't see a big rush of documentary makers showing how the christian fundamentalist, warmogering, neo-conservative rich-boys club really feel and how they are really making the world a safer place........
- lowimpakt0
And when I say I would like to see it I really mean that, believe me. I don't think Mr'Moore's is that important or crucial and the furore about him and all this unwillingness to show his movie and all that is frikin' hilarious. 'They' either want to hide something, are afraid of something or think that you are a bunch of moronic hacks who shouldn't be able to make up your own mind.
- e-wo0
In due time, lowimpakt.
I think it all deserves a critical analysis. Farenheit 9/11 seems a little preemptive to me--like more of a smear campaign against the current situation than an honest, isolated look at the 9/11 event.
Moore has a way of getting emotional and heated reactions with his imagery and theories. But, doing research about it all afterwards, he's really just getting reactions--not conducting a truthful investigation. I'll go see Farenheit, but only to understand my enemy: not liberals, but abhorred, intolerant, sincere political commentary SHIT.
- e-wo0
Can you tell that he got a reaction out of me?
I watched Bowling mostly went along with what he presented.
Then I did some post-viewing research, and saw just how Moore was misconstruing the situation. It made me MAD as hell that he even gets the privilege of theatrical releases.
- lowimpakt0
I think denouncing a movie before you have even seen it is abhorrent and intolerant.

there's the problem in the US. Some 'patriots' reclaim their land as the holder of the 'suspicious' "beacon of democracy / freedoom" trophee yet they can successfully lobby a documentary that goes against their point of view.
if you'd lived in a censorship fascist regime for 60 years you would think otherwise. No asshole would dare preventing such a film being shown here.
Earth to US: "WAKE THE FUCK UP".
- e-wo0
"download the screener of Cannes in DIVX with E-Mule."
checked off my to-do list last week.

"No asshole would dare preventing such a film being shown here."
yea, thats all part and parcel of democracy.

i am definitely a US patriot. but i would LOVE to see a documentary that goes outside my viewpoint! i'd love a thorough 9/11 investigation--but not from Moore! his ethics as a journalist are just vapid; he'll do or say anything he can to prove what HE thinks is right. that's not journalism.
- lowimpakt0
Why don't you do it then. Why don't you look to all the other credible sources. Why doesn't your government do it.
Why get sooo uptight about Moore and his project. As I said I would cue for hours to see a movie made by a right-wing version of Moore. I wouldn't get uptight and look for it to be censored. Id say Bring It On

In the words of Richard Gere in his ending speach at the Moving Image award ceremony.
“One thing I’ve learned in my life is never to trust anyone who thinks that he exclusively has God on his side, especially when he’s the president of the United States.”
