bizzy, please. you dream of the days you dream of the days you be building sites that are half as super fantabulous.
AZ has its goods and bads like anywhere else. I bitch about it because it has grown old for me. If ever leave I wouldn't be surprised if I came back. Kind of the opposite of pixelfrog I visit midwest and think its awesome.
The job is going well. It is nice to be working with a wide variety of clients and types of projects. Never know what is next.

I am sure it has its ups and downs as do other cities. Job would be the main reeason for holding anything back at this point unless I simply try to freelance from there. A few friends and myself are thinking about taking a drive out there soon to get the feel of what parts we like. It could be nice, I guess if all else fails I would just have to return to the parking metered beaches of over taxed and high housing costs of Southern California.

Just so you know, http://www.rhinointernet.com will be looking for a designer very soon. Drop them a line.
I used to work there.
As far as everything else, I love Arizona, the only thing it is missing is the ocean. I'm even getting used to the 5 months of crazy heat. (its still nice at nights)
Great place if youre into outdoors, biking or own a motorcycle.
Super close to South Cali, Vegas or the slopes in the winter. Beautiful scenery up north.
Tis all from me, folks!

At first didn't like it, coming from a city environment, but now it's my home.
Arizona is not that good to work in as an employee for someone, wages are far from any other part of US, however if you do freelance, start your own company and try to mingle with people you will never leave Arizona. Cheap houses, cheap apts, great fun if you know what to do, everything is close as someone mentioned.
The perfect scenario is for you to work with the rest of the US and live and have offices in Arizona. Awesome.
Believe me the heat is quite bareable, you'll get use to it.

I've been here for 26.5 years. Here are some things you will need to know if moving out to the desert of AZ.
1. Get good auto insurance because the drivers out here are fucking retards
2. Don't ever complain about the heat.
3. Scottsdale is full of over egotistical and fake people.
4. Tempe is full of beligerant and idiotic college kids.
5. Don't leave your car unlocked.
6. AZ's got an aweosome local punk rock community.
7. Don't move here thru the months of June thru August. You WILL die.
8. You have to either make culture out here yourself or spend a long time finding it.
9. People are generally pretty cool.
10. Gas sucks out here too.
11. AZ is the only state (that I know of) where the air itself (Valley Feaver) can kill out of towners.I love this state. I will never leave. Not a state for the weak, but it's got great desert class.
AZ por vida.
