They ruin everything. They're never happy. They always want more than what they're willing to pay for.

1st day on the job? ;)
- swollenelbow0
or last day of sanity. =)
- jpea0
that's how every 4th day of freelance feels like ;-)
but hey, it's better to deal with some finicky clients who are generally few and far between than it is to deal with a constantly finicky boss:-)

fuck their shit filled souls
- phirschybar0
Bite the bullet. Make it so they can't live without you and afterlong they will have to pay you really well. WORK HARD & EARN IT FROM EACH ONE!

Flash intro with 3d and After Effects
Logo
Layout Mockup with 4 variations
$250...I think I'm working my ass off and client still isn't happy. Wants a NEW layout. Won't pay until the Flash version is up, and then it's only 50%.
Fuckers.
- Eli0
you could drop a few hints that you might just tell them to fuck off and get a new designer.
- 67nj0
I just spent half of the in writing crap about web marketing solutions and communication for a client when all he wants is the animated version of the last cover of "wired" in their homepage...sick!

Eli, if he doesn't like this next layout, then that's what I'm doing. I'll let him see how shitty a job another designer will do for that price.

btw here's what I've prepared so far www.fatedesigns.com/SEO

looks very nice to me
also a very smart way to show the flash intro....
how much did say you charge for this?
250????
- whiteSneaks0
sounds like you aren't charging enough and your project management is either poor or nonexistant. stop blaming clients, they don't know your business and shouldn't have to.
- tara|gee0
oh daymn!
- tfsmag0
fah-king ZING!
- scarabin0
just charge more money (so you don't spend the whole time cursing about getting raped) next time and get a detailed contract outlining what they get and how many revisions.
works for me.
- JazX0
and they have no f*ing taste. Money don't buy taste
- DutchBoy0
charge them big money. and tell them they could go elsewhere for less. and then rub that amazing comp once more in their face!
it earned me more respect from the client in the end.
and put shit on paper, if they want changes beyond the agreement they'll have to pay up.
fucking simple as that.
- DutchBoy0
..and goodluck and keep yer chin up!
