What went wrong? It's hard enough to move the type along a path. Now, once I move it to where I like, I can't edit the type anymore.

yeah it's all fu!ked up but you gotta hold down alt or control or some shit and it begins to make sense... sayin that, if I tried to do it again now, it would still take me 10 minutes trying to get to the right key combo to flip the path upside or whatever.

Moving type on a path can be a bit of a pain in the ass, but I've never, ever had trouble editing it once it's there... Should be able to just hit T and click on the type or double-click 'er. Don't know why this wouldn't work for you.
Maybe you just keep hitting the path itself and not the text. I don't remember if you can lock the path while leaving the text editable, but give that a try. Command+2 is your friend. :)

I finally got to edit the type. I don't know what was wrong with it the first time.
The way to drag the type is to hold down the command key with the type tool selected and move the mouse until you see the tiny T near your cursor. It's not easy though.
