i think the dots are too strong. on the black ones they stand out more then the text. also the top one maybe give a little more space between the box and the text

Keep going, I'd say. Nothing solid here; the icon & the typeface both need more thought.

it doesn't really say sunrise to me in any way....
how about playing around with some sort of sunrise background behind the SG...???
I think the options need to more different.. they are too similar...

I'd try something new, you seem to be tryinf to get saomething 'posh' but its not quit there, try something more relaxed, illustrative maybe

what is Sunrise gate?
what is the audience?in regards to your second versions, a logo is best when it works in just black and white, then add colour. You'll see the strengths of your logo then.
The outline in the coloured version around sunrise gate, should go because it won't reproduce, a logo has to looking great large and small
Watch your kerning, especially in Gate
overall it's looking good, but you can make it stronger... go you logoman go!

id hate to say it, but turn the box 45ยบ and yer golden. they love that diamond shit. seriously, mix in a diamond option and they'll choose it. i'll put a fiver on it, humor me

i started with the dimond thing... and then opted out of it.. maybe i'll go back to it.
as for the clientel.
he is going to be building custom homes around the toronto, mississauga area ranging from 1 - 1.5 mill.

someone suggested this and i agree-look for a different font
that one isn't sophisticated enough for expensive homes
look at high end hotel sites for font ideas and maybe even logo ideas

those dots are stronger than the letters in 'home', not good.
your newest ones are better but still needs a fair bit of work.
