its a nice tight grid jevad. the colors are good too. but the tabs kinda date it - in an Amazon.com kinda way/

I feel like I could get to exactly what I'm looking for quickly, which is a huge plus. If this site is intended for the clients you are talking about then I believe it will get the job done. Let the portfolio do all the selling.

everyone knows how to use tabs though...remember this has to appeal to the lowest common denominator so I can't go down the fancy-nav route!

Hey Nic,
Hope the states are treating ya well! Like your new design. I agree with what Josimar is saying though. There's a golden rule in typography that for ideal legibility a body of type set for reading (ie more than just a short paragraph) should have an average of 7-12 words per line. This can also result in the column having more elegant proportions.
Good luck finding freelance work! :-)

hey phil!! good to see you on here again!
yeah I'm aware of that rule which is why the columns are no longer than 12 words...but I am gonna have a play around and tighten them up.
Thanks!

all kidding aside, i don't mind the tabbing really for who the audience is - i think it'll work fine...i think there is an unfortunate orphanage between 'nt' and 'nic tinworth design', that the mtns. again have to go, and that it would be nice to have a more clear visual hierarchy in the relationship between the two home page sectional paragraphs...i like the palette, and don't think there is too much going on there - it is functional and subtle
all and all very appropriate for your prospective audience, and a tight beginning
