so right, so cal = one night stands, or girls who want you because they think it will get them somewhere fiscally.
Why aren't there any nice girls in LA, who aren't scheming for the cash... (maybe it's me and the places I go...)

in my small experiance, i've found that you can get a girl if you're just a nice guy... but you can't keep her if you're nice and supportive... they get bored and leave/cheat... you have to be a continual "work in progress"

well what about all the time in between. i'm getting to the point where i want to be doing more serious dating than one-night stands.
i do not have a problem meeting women, or hooking up for that matter, but the quick thrill is slowly losing ground to something more meaningul and fulfilling. yet, when the pursuit of a relationship (ie: being nice to a girl and showing genuine interest in her as a person and not a hookup) results in some kind of lame ass runaround crap, it makes me less and less likely to try that route.
i've had much more sucess and far less meaningful encounters by cracking a couple wise ass jokes and keeping a girl at arm's length.
i'm not a player by any means, but i like sex as much as the next guy (if not more) and it seems the only way to get it goes against my surprisngly maturing instincts.

Obviously haven't found the right girl. Surprisingly hard to find someone willing to get involved in a committed relationship than just hookin up with people.
Besides i think the whole "asshole" debate comes down to girls liking guys who are self-assured and confident. Something to do with primitive instincts and/or what freud said about father /daughter relationships. Alot of asshole guys happen to be self-assured and confident. No girl's gonna go for some dorky wuss - no matter how "nice" he is.

He knows what he's doing. The Cali girls don't have a chance. I've seen him in action.
I've been out here in Cali for about 10 years and there is a big difference in the type of girls. But over all, in8 just hasn't seen a summer out here yet.
