one listens to "Who's Next" first and foremost, and then branches from there. Tommy has a lot of hype, but save that for towards the end of your fandom; it's hard to digest.

If you guys are fans, I seriously suggest getting the CD release of Live at Leeds. It's about twice as long and all of the new stuff is just as high quality.
How many bands had three musicians as good at Moon, Entwistle and Townshend?
Yes, Hendrix Experience, Cream, not many others.

i know, especially as a kid it was hard to fathom his lines. baffling, to put it mildly.
somehow they were memorable & melodic enough to remember though. people always give jaco credit for bringing the bass up front, but i think it was entwistle.
