Hey all,
What kind of style would you call that? Post-Modern? Anything more specific? I'd like to do some research into that particular style. I'm really fascinated by it.

I would call it nothnig more than stolen by our good friend Michel C. Place of Design by Build.
It was ripped from his older site.
NeubauBerlin is ripped!
I wouldn't call the style post modern.

Okay then, I do remember the old Build site with the clock on it, what would you label Build's style?
A friend of mine is getting his degree in graphic design, and he's shown me all of these old design styles, de stjil, russian deconstructivism, etc. but he says they haven't studied modern styles yet. Is there a label for this kind of style? Or, not really...?
I don't really care about who ripped whom.

I'd hardly call it a rip. Some of you peole make me laugh though--the ambiguity in the term "rip" is huge. Styles are decidedly similar, but not to a degree that I'd lance Neubau on the forum. I think there is still plenty of originality.

well. i do agree in the fact that everything already has been done. so to a certain extent everyone is always ripping someone. the word rip is indeed a bit hmmm hard, negative. the way i see it is that you have to addi your own thoughts, things and style to it. make it your own. fuse it with whatever. however in this case i do find that some parts of neubauberlin is too similar with build, too much of a copy, you know not making it your own. but there are works/parts from him that are a quite interesting approach of that "style" and are a actually quite original interpretation of that "style". see below for links.

Before looking at the form to know if this "thing" is rip just ask your favorites translator what NeubauBerlin means. Even the name...

definately trying to shove the user in the trunk of a car and drive the car off a cliff, then slap on pixel fonts, blip sounds and turn the contrast up to radioactive levels, save, publish.
