i'm trying to go for something sexy.. yet... um... modern -

second one: lame.
th atsuper glossy shit is way lame in my book. for some reason, i think that it is old and over with.the first one however, that seems more modern.
are they going to be adult videos?
the colours of teh first one are more memorable, and classy.
the grey on grey is generic looking. nobody will remember that site.TR1

behind the scenes - fashion shoots - home / spa / restaurant tours etc...
... rich folks in LA, PHOENIX, and VEGAS... but all videos.
I'm just trying to establish a very high-end look... nothing too 'conceptual' or over the top. This has to be easily navigated by anyone - it's not to make designers happy.

1 has more of a 'cinema/movie' feel to it, but i think number two is sexier and doesn't seem played out to me, although i'm not feelin' the big glare acroos the whole top of the header maybe the edge is to hard...either way i would consider going with a new font for the small copy and nav...it's dithered and would look much nicer, more 'highend' if it was nice and crisp...pixel font def.

2 looks like a slightly slicker version of 53000 skins on 52000 different boards, mp3 players, blah
i'd just add that the little nav type in 1 should be a bit cleaner...

the nav fonts will be very crisp in the final product... this is just a dumbed down jpg...
.... the top portion and nav will all be in flash -- using fonts from fontsforflash.com (yep.. i DID purchase them 8) )

Definitely gotta go with no. 1 as well, but play it up some more with lively color, phoenix isn't a brothel, or a sanctum of hell... (or maybe it is?) so red just isn't the most appropriate for the primary color choice (imo.)
Complaints on no.2 in case, you go with it.... Colors are too feminine even for this purpose (feels like your selling vagisille or something). Theres not enough contrast in the elemtns to draw a clear distinction of how each item functions - based on color, layout and font selection (yet again, imo.)

no 1 is the stronger of the two - nice colors....
