I had a client who I couldn't get to pay me for over 2 months. As soon as I removed her site she called acting all surprised that I would do that . . . HA! She paid up right away, then I told her to go fuck herself (not literally).

Well I should of had a contract your right, but figuring a friend of a friend... oh well... now I know for sure to use contract in any case..

Every project is a mathematical equation in my eyes. I always throw in a variable into the equation. The variable is a spiker (.dll) and the site shuts down unless the total amount is paid. Works most of the time for me.

i had a problem like that, the guy did'nt pay me for 3 months and when i took the site down, he wanted to sue me, never got my money...
i think my contract might not be very good, would anyone share one

tip: never deliver final files until you get payment
Flash tip: Put some expiry code in the Flash (if date = blah goto frame "expired" which says "We have not paid for this website yet". Remove this code when you get paid and deliver the final files.
