Illustrator CS question

Works the same as before for me - use the white arrow (direct selection) to drag the line (not the box) along the path. The text moves with it.

I don't really like CS either... it sucks that you can't save something as an earlier version... plus it runs suuuuuuper slooooooow in my machine.
I'm boycotting it...

OK, I got it to work, but the handles look different and don't grab nearly as easily. Why did they change that?
You can File > Export > Legacy Illustrator EPS / AI to get an older version if you want.

can't you export to an earlier verision of illustrator....illustrator legacy format. Never tried it but was told you could.

Yup definitely Legacy export, and heck - why not save it as an EPS no version issues, and its more versatile a' doc type.

I understand that because of big changes to the underlaying text engine that (so says Adobe) exporting to legacy Illustrator versions is buggy at best.

You should see how buggy the text on a path is now. It's been overhawled like putting a Pinto engine in a Farrari.
