Im sitting on an A.S degree, I already have a job...pretty steady..is it worth the extra 25k for a Bachelor Degree in this business
( webdesign/webdevelopment) does it matter at all what your education is... or is it all about talent.....

Degree don't mean shit...
Example..
My best friend is working at the Agency of the Year in NY. No degree.. All talent..

true..
some cases it's important for teaching, i.e.
I still haven't finished my bachelor ( 2 years interval) although I been having unimaginable clients like museum of contemporary arts in LA...
but I'm planning to finish, it may allow me to apply for scholarships and contests or do some kind of post-degrees and master stuff.. you never know when it may be needed.

it might be worth $25k for you to make it "web development".
otherwise... no.

i have a bachelors and i would suggest it...i think the more experiences you get from communicating with other people in design or just experiences in general the more it adds to your talent.

won't say anything about what you learn when you get a bachelor's degree, but i will say that it opens doors.
most of the places i have applied to in the last few years have required it. maybe you should check the requirements that employers post for the job you would like to have in the next 5 years and go with that.

I've been working for 9 years and only got an Associates. It might help you down the road, but probably not for design/development/programming.

It makes things easier, makes things tougher. Easier because, yet it does open doors. Tougher because it takes some of the fight out of certain types of dogs.
Most of my friends w/o bachelor's dog themselves because of it, and that doesn't help. Talent goes a long way, and yes there are more opportunities that come with higher education, but it ultimately depends on the type of person you perceive yourself to be and the manner in which you wish to forge a life for yourself.
Whatever road you take, be sure to focus on the task at hand and not on the tasks you didn't opt for...and most importantly, don't ever hesitate to challenge yourself when a new opportunity comes up, even if it intimidates you.
That is the best advice I can give...and it's applicable to almost all vocations.
What do you want to be when you grow up?

some good advice from you guys. but the best advice is from the School Spirit Skit tracks on the Kanye West album. you must hear them if you haven't.

I think anything that enriches your knowledge is worth it. Graduating from a university is one of things I'm proudest of. It all depends on the school though.

I agree it will open more opportunities. It's a requirement at many job posts I see. Plus it is sometimes required if you want to move into higher levels of managements. I could open up teaching opportunities as well.
Also, it doesn't necessarily have to cost 25K.
