sorry gilt but being cynical is just buying into another politically generated myth: that there is no point taking an interest in politics. it's in the interest for the powers that be for you not to channel your opinions into something constructive.
hey nic, yea london is still shitty and grey, the lock still has good looking bartenders and public transport is still abysmal. Pints are still plentiful, dogs are still crapping on the pavement and buses still smell like old people. I saw a bus-spotter earlier on today, serious he had a sparkly notebook with hand ruled pages and everything. when he clocked me looking at him he took down my bus number!

Actually I'm not being cynical, i'm just leaving out 3/4's of my argument. But my argument rides high on religious beliefs. So I left it out. No need to bang our head on the digital wall...
What I didn't make clear, was that I can't stomp on anyone elses beliefs. My life experiences have led me to my opinions. Yours have led you and everyone else to theirs opinions.
I believe we can all agree that this is one hectic world we live in though...

bush was in office....like 2hundred some days...clinton was in office for like like a shitload longer...that attack was in planning for much more than a year, and things brewing underneath for at least 10 or 15 if not longer. Everyone needs to stop blaming the leaders and go out and help your neighbors or walk your dog, or love your family. the world is messed up...pointing fingers just shows ignorance..

exactly, JEWUNIT...just like nobody complained when Kerry was using footage from Vietnam in his campaign ad...
the point is that people need to just accept the fact that there was no way to prevent it. At least that's my view. I don't like politics but if I'm going to hold a president accountable, then I'm holding both Bush and Clinton accountable. It drive me up the wall...it's two kids fighting over the sandbox with a bunch of kicking and biting.
