i just got a copy of it, and it is seriously sick. sierra fellers is amazing, no surprise.
and you're right, skateboarding is about self expression, but this is how they express themselves.

Does anyone get the feeling that Jamie Thomas thinks he is in fact Jesus? And hasn't he done demos's at churches etc? Or was I dreaming that?

^^ nessdog, i get the same vibe from that guy. it's cool if someone wants to be a christian, but skateboarding shouldn't be used as a vehicle to push religion...

Gator was a X-tian too... I like the X-tian... it's kind of like X-games but with extreme sports religion...which is what the Baldwin is selling us...
I could care less if he's religous but I think its kind of funny that he's using it as a sales tool to tap into a demographic. But I guess maybe that's preaching the gospel in these modern times...kind of like Tammy Faye Baker but different...
maybe Baldwin will build the X-treme sports version of Heritage USA, including the Resurrection super-pipe with high airs measured by a lifesize cross...
not to be blasphemous but the crossover of commerce and religion in this country has made me pretty cynical or maybe it was growing up and watching the megapower that is CBN and PTL...
I am always suspect when there is a price tag, marketing trend, or powermongering associated with God.
And yes I'm talking about George Bush too... ;)

actually, luis palau ministries and king of king skateboard ministries put out the video, stephan baldwin donated his time and efforts cause he liked what they're doing.
and yeah, jamie does do demos at churches. we just did one with him at calvary in florida.
they're not pushing anything on you. just sharing their beliefs. you don't have to listen.
it's how they express themselves. isn't that the ultimate self-expression? completely being about what you believe in?
