I'm making an mp3 player...
It seems as though in internet explorer, when I load a new mp3, the mp3.duration is returning "0", even though the getBytesLoaded is at 100%....this isnt happening in firefox. Anyone with me??

by the way, the mp3 isn't playing, which is also weird, considering it's supposedly loaded.

Can you post the code that you're using to load/preload the mp3, please?

I'm streaming the mp3, so it can play before the sound is completely loaded....
var the_mp3:Sound = new Sound();
the_mp3.loadSound(mp3_link, true);
var start_point:Number = 0;
the_mp3.stop();play.onRelease = function() {
if (the_mp3.position == the_mp3.duration) {
audio_status = "stop";
start_point = 0;
}
the_mp3.start(start_point);
audio_status = "play";}

try this code out:
http://livedocs.macromedia.com/f…
you could pack it into a function and call it onButtonPress.
hope that helps..i just stumbled upon it a second ago and remembered your post here this morning.

I apologize for my latency.
I'll be able to help you out more in depth after I get off work.

'preciate it... streaming a flv is a bit different than a mp3, because there's no buffertime property, but its on the right track...
