I just started a new job and after a week I'm realizing it's not for me. Should I stick around a bit longer, is there some sort of time you should stay? Anyone else been in this situation, I'm torn on what to do.

Give it a month and if your still not happy then leave. Its always a bit crappy when starting a new job......

Give it at least a few more weeks, and if by then you still feel the same way, start looking for another job.

Go back to your old one.

I was in your situation six months ago. I stuck with it, now I hate my life.

There's no way you're already aquainted with your tasks, with the people you work with and how the environment is in general! I'd say give it at LEAST a month before you judge it.
And talk to them - they hired you because they wanted you to work with them. If they're professionals they will handle you with care and listen to you. Tell them what you like/dislike with your new job in a constructive way - it's in their interest as well to make it better.
If not, leave as quickly as possible. If that's how they treat their employees one can only imagine how they treat their clients...

Was in your situation about a year ago also.
Took a job that I wasn't 100% confident in the company but went with what I thought was right at the time.
Turned out to be a very bad decision and got jacked in the ass 5k.
My gut feeling was bad and I should of stuck with it,
I guess u live and learn though.

Its a shitty deal. I got a job for a kick ass company some years back, and you think to yourself Ive got where I want to be. Then you realise its not what you thought it would be. They infact are not the great Design company you thought they were but a bunch of twats. Its almost unbelievably surreal and ironic.
