Jeez, has it been 10 years? I know he killed himself in April.
He was one of the greats. What a songwriter. His last interview was great.

conspiracy theorys
if it was a murder we'd know by now.

My skin wasn't thick enough to endure his shitty, shitty music.

The best thing he released, in my opinion, as the safety catch on that rifle.

hey elwolverton
I can tell by your prolific songwriting that you are sure to make a larger impact than kurt cobainwhat a cockmunch

and...he probably made a larger impact in 4 years of his life than everybody on this forum will make in their lifetime

well, i was serious, but stating it in a semi-joking morrisey-ish way

Come on. He has this "thing" surrounding his memory now that is a direct result of his suicide. It's hard to imagine a hard core heroin user like he was, to have a lasting positive effect on anyone. Key word here is positive. Angst/drugs/angst/guitarsolo.
- pascii0
i saw them live in neuchatel in the only swiss concert. and i tell ya, the kids were pogo dancin. rockin, shouting and havin' a good time for 2 hrs.
that was positive enough for me
not to forget they re-opended the musicmarket for guitarbands. else we would still listening to rick astley

Nirvous,
the fact that your kids will be listening to those albums 20 years from now has nothing to do with his drug use.great songs are great songs and no one is perfect, he never asked to be your role model

Watched an MTV show about him last night. Got to wondering, for those of us in our mid-late 20s who were in high school when Nirvana came out, all the bands of that era like pearl jam, smashing pumpkins, alice in chains, radiohead, stp, green day, nirvana, etc. their sounds were all pretty new, different, great.
For people NOW who are in high school, I wonder if any curre tbands have the same effect?
I mean, do any bands have an impact on a teen these days that Nirvana did on those of us who went crazy over them?
I don't think so.
