MAC MAC MAC MAC !! this is just obvious.. i mean.. pc's are lame, they crash every 5 minutes and they're ugly too...

my PC running XP pro has never crashed. posudo, please talk about things you know about, like skin moisturizing.

just out of spite
for all the kids at the university I have to see sipping their latte sporting paul mitchell products fitted t-shirts horn-rimmed glasses working in the library putting patches on their backpacks band stickers on their 88 volvo and generally trendwhoring metrosexually with an iBook
get a real job

Silly debate since it's all about personal preference.
I don't have anything against PC's, they do the job good. I just find Panther friendlier and smoother to use than windows xp. And my powerbook looks pretty.
My mate's a PC technician... but he has a G4 powerbook. Hmm.

you can work on both, use what you're comfortable with.....
on top of that, do a search next time n00bs... you'll see this shit gets brought up once a week here.... for fucks sake

i dont really like my PC anymore (ever since i got a g4 ibook)
i'd rather work on this 14" than my desktop that has 19"..

zeropoint
"Yes, a lot more people are using pc for design, but I would say that most of them are not professional”
Can I say that's the most ignorant thing I have ever herd! Any web designer that has to make a website base on ASP and SQL database can not avoid the fact that he has to work on a PC.
I was the biggest MacAddict but when I got my current job PC was the way to go. The eCommerce I work for is base on ASP and SQL front and backend.
As far PC crashing STOP buying DELL or Gateway PCs. I have built several PCs for myself and I can tell you this PC running Windows XP build right wont crash.

it is a pretty ignorant statement.. agreed.
my 2 cents:
it all depends on what you do and what you prefer to use.
personally, i do mostly flash dev work and if i EVER have to do flash work in regular MX on a mac, lord knows i'll be screaming explitives to everyone who passes.but i like it for photoshop work and regular daily use.
all depends on what you do.
my other 2 cents:
there should be a ban on threads such as these.

monk lives in the real world.. where nobody gives an ish about how cool your powerbook looks... they wanna know can you progam in x language with y backend.. "oh and you have design skills.. great but we have interns that do that for us."
i'm just trying to get a rise.. don't get mad. you guys all have skills that I can appreciate.

in a sense, this debate should be kept alive forever. Pluriformity in system platforms is a high necessity if you believe in freedom of choice and preference.
The creative world can only thrive on the ongoing struggle of at least 2 major platforms, as it continuously challenges to rethink innovative usability versus commercial monopoly.

excellent point there Dutchy.

owwwWWww

have both, end of.
- nessdog0
godverdomme.
ooo0000WWWwwww.
- pocho0
really...I have both, but why is the most used PC advantage that they are cheaper? if you can't afford it you're in the wrong business. In and Out burgers pay their managers six figures.

I've gotta say, Andrew79 wins the trophy for best argument.
