Art School - Statment of Purpose help

Anyone know where i can find online samples for a letter ( Statment of Purpose). I am in the process of sending all my materials to an art school. looking at one and getting an idea will help me with composing mine! thanks in Advnace.

Statement of purpose? Speaking of style, influence - as in design arts? As opposed to an artist statement where one speaks about content?

Depending on the school, content is king.
If you talk about the synergy between Cartesian Philosophy and your work, that's a pretty good statement, if you talk about how flash is really cool, you'll be torn to shreds.
Is this for design or art?
NEVER! Say your parents are a big influence, it's immature, use literary cliches like "Purpose is defined by webster's dictionary as..."
DEFINITLEY! Be as creative as possible, I've seen more people get into school, by writing poems and recording music (non-rap, non-protools) then anything else.

Cheesr mr Batts. Thats the kinda advice I was looking for. Thinking of applying to a school in Canada - NorthAmerican system is very different to the one in england..
