i'm no fan of http://www.newsphp.com/2004pro/ , but i noticed that the analog clock is "alphaed". If you right click on the black portions you'd get the Flash dialogue... otherwise none...
is this natural for flash files?

i get the flash dialogue all over the face of the clock....

!?!??!
bizarre... maybe i'm the odd guy out then.
me using IE6 on a Dell HT machine...
you folks on mac?

I get it only on the black...on pc. Do you think it was on purpose? Why you reckon they did it??

That's really weird. when you look at the source clip http://www.newsphp.com/2004pro/u… there is no problem. may be this is the reason:
that WMode(?) is on transparent. (?)

erm... don't quite understand hahah.
just thought that if there is such an effect then we can successfully overlay non rectangular flash movies over normal html, which would be cool.

you can set swf to transparent ... but it only seems to work in IE on a PC.
On all other browsers/platforms there will be a white (or whatever the background colour is) background, such as on mozilla here.

oh, it didn't work. Look into the source code of the page. There you'll find a parameter with the name: wMode. Its value is set to transparent.
